This was an art commission that I took from Reddit user BreaditUsername (gotta love that name btw!), who asked for a soft-shaded two-person image with himself and Love Live's Honoka Kousaka doing music practice together. It was a tremendous yet fun challenge to work on, though I didn't realize throwing a piano in for a prop would make it take longer than it should! x)
There were all sorts of references I got when working on this - a crudely-done MS Paint drawing with the rough composition, image references of himself and Honoka with descriptions making minor alterations to the outfits, and even specifically asking for the kind of piano in the image. Shading each individual key was crazy enough to pull off as it was and ultimately very fun for the first chance to illustrate a prop among the subjects - 10/10, would totally do something like that again.

Love Live is supposedly a co-production between ASCII Media Works, the Lantis music label and the Sunshine animation studio. I drew this!
