“I'll always walk by your side... and hopefully not trip you constantly.”</i>
This was a commission I took on from Meihu22 over Reddit - and we're mutual over two things, being fellow Brits and an interest in Fire Emblem! The task at hand was a flat-colored full-body image of Felicia, one of the ice tribe maids from Fire Emblem Fates. This is a right throwback to doing a few female characters from the entire series for a group project at this point last year, so I'm always excited to go back there again. x)
The memo was just very simple - a nice and happy pose with her trademark plate. This was one of those where I had to figure out where the plate would go to not counteract her usually clumsy personality traits, as well as seeing the amount of detail into upper layers of the clothing and not realizing until the coloring stages that there were straps here, embellishes there and the like - lots of cross-checking needed to make sure I got her all matched up. I know I've drawn a Nohr-raised character before with Effie, but fabric was a whole different level!
Alas, the image checked out okay and it's been absolutely fabulous drawing out Felicia! Thank you so much for your contribution x)
