The PAW Patrol are Ready to Roll!

This was a project that took way too long to work on. ._.

In my real life, my brother has a girlfriend and has been seeing her for around a year or so.  The relationship got that great particularly last February, when she started bringing her now-six-year-old son from her first marriage to see my brother's friends and family.  He's a very cheerful, energetic and strong little boy - one that in this day and age would much prefer to get locked on a screen than do something more practical inside the house.

One of the TV shows he loves watching is Nickolodeon (Nick Jr here in the UK) show PAW Patrol, centered around a team of young dogs of different breeds and based around either an emergency service or community project, fixing the problems that the town locals face on a daily basis.  It's such a cute premise and the dogs can be relatable to all personalities within its target audience.

So then I was tasked by my brother's girlfriend to draw a mural, A3 size, for his recently redecorated bedroom.  Trying to draw six pups, interpret cool poses that keep with their characters AND maintain the art style - and surprising detail - of the show was tough, though what was tougher was increased time pressure to hit goals of this picture as it came along.  I wanted to make sure not only would he be happy with it, but so would myself when putting it together.

The mural version of this picture had the boy's face placed inside the pawprint, though it had been omitted from the web one for obvious reasons.

Anyway, there we go - one big task was all set.  Right now I am collecting my strength for the next big task that'll come this way - the OverClocked Remix Secret Santa.  I can't wait until the matchups are announced in 2 weeks!
